The CReST project will host multiple regional faculty development workshops across USA. Any faculty who teach lower and upper division Computer Science (or related) courses such as Computer Literacy, Introductory Programming (CS0, CS1, CS2), Software Engineering, Database Management Systems, Operating Systems, Networks are welcome to apply for the CReST workshops, where we will share a suite of various freely available instructional resources to integrate security content into CS courses. Each participating faculty will receive $2000 for his/her time in attending the workshop and adopting workshop material of interest in his/her course(s).
CReST Workshop Topics:
- Current trends and state of security
- Security modules in CS courses (Computer Literacy, Introductory Programming (CS0, CS1, CS2), Software Engineering/Database Management Systems/Operating Systems/Networks)
- Training in instruction, assessment and active learning exercises
